Since 1989 our results-oriented analysis and reporting have played a role in tangible benefits that continue to accrue to rural Adirondack communities in the form of enhanced recreational use of Lake Champlain, improved collection and use of health data by community health organizations, increased sales for local wood products manufacturers, and a new recreational pathway linking Lake Placid to Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Park in Upstate NY.
In the process of engendering economic growth and improved quality of life we continue to expand our services, primarily in the area of e-commerce and other online services. In recognition of our ingenuity, Holmes & Associates received a Small Business Innovation & Research (SBIR) award in 1999 to investigate the use of e-Commerce in rural economic development. In 2003 we received recognition for Excellence in Business from the Plattsburgh State University School of Business & Economics.
